C2C Communications Profiles Standards

NTCIP 1102 — Base Standard: Octet Encoding Rules (OER) Defines how NTCIP objects are encoded (i.e., the exact digital representation of the value of an object that is to be transmitted over a communications path). Type: Communications: Information Level Standard Status as of June 2006: Approved

NTCIP 1104 — Center-to-Center Naming Convention Specifications Defines the naming service for use in center-to-center communications in the transportation domain and lists the requirements for establishing names for management systems and for the objects managed by those systems. Standards may reference this document in order to define how certain items should be named. Type: Communications: Information Level Standard Status as of June 2006: Approved

NTCIP 2103 — Point-to-Point Protocol Over RS-232 Subnetwork Profile Specifies base standards and protocols that are used to provide specific communications functions and services and requirements for using the Point-to-Point Protocol over RS-232, or dial-up modem communications links. Type: Communications: Subnetwork Level Standard Status as of June 2006: Version 1: Published, Version 2: In Ballot

NTCIP 2104 — Ethernet Subnetwork Profile Specifies base standards and protocols that are used to provide specific communications functions and services and requirements for specific types of coaxial cable, twisted wire pairs, and fiber-optic media operating at communication rates of 10 megabits per second. NTCIP 2202 — Internet (TCP/IP and UDP/IP) Transport Profile Defines a combination of base standards and protocols used to provide specific functions and services for layers 3 (network or routing of packets) and 4 (transport or message handling). Type: Communications: Transport Level Standard Status as of June 2006: Published Dec. 2001

NTCIP 2303 — File Transfer Protocol (FTP) Application Profile Combines various base standards and protocols into a coordinated set of functions and procedures related to large file transfers. Type: Communications: Application Level Standard Status as of June 2006: Published Dec. 2001

NTCIP 2304 — Application Profile for DATEX-ASN (AP-DATEX) Specifies how DATEX-ASN is to be used within the United States as a center-to-center protocol. Ensures all implementations of DATEX-ASN within the United States use the same base options and therefore can be made to interoperate. Type: Communications: Application Level Standard Status as of June 2006: Published

NTCIP 2306 — Application Profile for XML Message Encoding and Transport in ITS Center-to-Center Communications (C2C XML) Specifies communications interfaces for transmitting information encoded in the eXtensible Markup Language (XML) between centers using WSDL/SOAP protocols. Type: Communications: Application Level Standard Status as of June 2006: Under Development
